Obvious First Picks

  1. Veggie Tales is back, and it’s lots of fun! Find it on YouTube HERE and especially on Yippee TV, a streaming service for younger kids that I highly recommend.
  2. Friends and Heroes is a program I’ve loved watching with my kids. It’s about first century Christianity from a child’s perspective.
  3. Superbook is available on several streaming channels and on YouTube. I love this series. As you may know, the originals were great, and the new ones are awesome, too!
  4. Adventures in Odyssey is a great choice to play for the kids at bedtime because it’s a radio program that sparks the imagination without staring at a screen. Plus, it has great content, too!
  5. Minno is another streaming service that I recommend highly. You see, it has BIbleman, the original cheesefest, which is now an animated series that the kids here at my house love.
  6. Torchlighters is a series that I have found to be very effective in helping the kids understand the impact of past Christian leaders. Of course, it does have Catholic content, so if that’s not for you, just be certain to avoid those titles.
  7. Owlegories was one that didn’t thrill me at first, but the kids latched on quickly and dragged me along. Truly, they persisted until I liked it, too.
  8. Listener Kids was another one that I didn’t love at first. But my daughter insisted that I give it a try, and it grew on me.
  9. 3-2-1 Penguins is by the creators of Veggie Tales, but they deserve their own section because they are literally in my head and heart for life. Give them a try. Though they are not overtly Christian, they are oh so entertaining and convey wholesome values.
